Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Terhadap Kinerja Guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 7 Kabupaten Wajo

Abstract

Kurangnya kinerja guru pada Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 7 Kabupaten Wajo melatarbelakangi pentingnya penelitian ini. Faktor penyebab rendahnya kinerja guru diduga diakibatkan rendahnya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan profesionalitas kerja guru. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kinerja guru di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 7 Kabupaten Wajo. Selain itu, penelitian ini bertujuan pula untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru pada Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 7 Kabupaten Wajo. Populasi penelitian adalah semua guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 7 Kabupaten Wajo baik yang PNS maupun GTT. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ternyata Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 7 Kabupaten Wajo. Disarankan kepada guru yang bekerja pada Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 7 Kabupaten Wajo agar lebih giat dalam meningkatkan kinerjanya sehingga untuk kedepannya dapat menjadi lebih baik lagi seperti yang diharapkan.

The lack of teacher performance at the State 7 Vocational High School (SMK) of Wajo Regency is the background of the importance of this research. The factors causing the low performance of teachers are thought to be caused by the quiet leadership of the principal and the professionalism of the teacher's work. This study was conducted to determine the description of the principal's leadership and teacher performance at the State 7 Vocational High School (SMK) Wajo Regency. In addition, this study also aims to determine the magnitude of the influence of the principal's leadership on teacher performance at the State 7 Vocational High School (SMK) Wajo Regency. The research population was all teachers of the State 7 Vocational High School (SMK) of Wajo Regency, civil servants, and GTT. Data was collected using questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that the principal's leadership had a positive and significant effect on the performance of the State 7 Vocational High School (SMK) teachers in the Wajo Regency. It is recommended to teachers who work at Vocational High School (SMK) Negeri 7 Wajo Regency to be more active in improving their performance so that in the future, it can be even better as expected.
