Abstract

Teknologi di era globalisasi khususnya teknologi komputer telah menghasilkan informasi yang lebih cepat, akurat, dan lebih relevan. Hal ini diwujudkan melalui penggunaan sistem absensi biometrik sidik jari (finger print). Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dimana terdapat dua variabel yaitu absensi eletronik (finger print) sebagai variabel bebas (independent) dan disiplin pegawai sebagai variabel terikat (dependent) , dengan menggunakan sumber data diantaranya populasi dan sampel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel penerapan absensi eletronik (finger print) dan variabel disiplin pegawai masing-maisng berada pada kriteria baik berdasarkan tanggapan responden. Hasil penelitian lainnya menujukkan adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan antara penerapan penggunaan absensi eletronik (finger print) terhadap kedisiplinan pegawai.

                                                                                             

Technology in the era of globalization, especially computer technology, has produced information that is faster, more accurate, and more relevant. This is realized through the use of a fingerprint biometric attendance system (fingerprint). This study uses a quantitative research type where there are two variables, namely electronic attendance (fingerprint) as the independent variable and employee discipline as the dependent variable, using data sources including population and samples. The results of this study indicate that the application of electronic absenteeism (fingerprint) and employee discipline variables are in good criteria based on respondents' responses. The results of other studies show that there is a positive and significant relationship between the application of the use of electronic attendance (fingerprint) to employee discipline.
