Abstract

This research is directed to provide an outline related to the impact of PBL learning model on students' environmental literacy skills on environmental pollution material in class X MIPA SMA Negeri 2 Soppeng. This research is expected to determine the impact of problem-based learning model (pbl) on students' environmental literacy skills on environmental pollution materials. This study has two variables, namely the free variable "PBL learning model" and the bound variable "student environmental literacy ability". The research method used in this study is quasi experimentation with non-equivalent control group design research design. The sample of this study was a grade X MIPA 1 student consisting of 27 experimental graders and students of grade X MIPA 2 as a control class consisting of 25 students. The data source uses secondary data and literature studies from various previous assessment results. The instruments used in this study are multiple choice questions for aspects of knowledge and cognitive skills, observation sheets for the application of PBL syntax and questionnaires of students' responses to PBL learning. Pre-tests are given to experimental and control classes before learning is performed and post-tests are given to experimental and control classes after the last meeting. The results showed that there were significant differences in knowledge that were influenced by the results of the treatment given, while the coginitif skills were not significant differences that is, there was no influence on the results of the treatment given. The achievement of PBL syntax is in the category of almost all activities carried out. Students' response to the pbl application showed a positive reaction.
