Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a persistent increase in blood pressure which is also dubbed the silent killer. The symptoms are not clear so it can happen that someone who has had hypertension for years does not realize it until there is serious enough damage to vital organs that can even cause death. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of hypertension self-management on the blood pressure of hypertensive patients at the Lancirang Health Center, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The method in this research is quantitative using a descriptive analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The results showed that there was a significant relationship (p = 0.036 < a = 0.05) between self-management and blood pressure of hypertensive patients at the Lancirang Health Center, Sidenreng Rappang Regency.
